Back in 2008/2009 I was doing my BTEC National Diploma in Textiles and Surface Design at Newcastle College. The second project of the course was to make a doll bassed on Japanese Street Fashion and I loved it. I was very big on all the Japanese back then so the porject was right up my street. I still love Japanese Street Fashion and still keep an eye on it through blogs like tokyofashion.com. My dissertation was bassed on Japanese Street Fashion from the 90's and to help I brough out my old sketchbook, it looks most like a research book now but the the things I learnt in the experimental and sampling techniques have stayed with me.
