Final Major Project - Drawing work

 A coloured pencil drawing of the Ghost Rider. I think the coloured pencil worked very well on this kind of image and is one of my favorite drawings so far.

Working on different techniques of drawing here. Left handed drawing, simple line drawing done with thick black felt tip and continuous line drawing.

Looking at lettering with the works 'Merc with a mouth' (Deadpool's nickname). I like the effect witht the lettering but I dont think I will be development work because I dont think it looks sophisticated enough for the market place I want my work to be in.

Looking in to mirroring images to make abstract motifs.

Continuous line drawing of grenades layered on top of a tonal drawing of a chain. I love the layering of images and motifs, I think that is something I will me looking at for development/final piece.

'Film Project'

A project that I did at the end of my first year. The project was bassed on a Japanese film called Wool 100% and is one of my favorite projects.

Final Major Project.

I started my Final Major Project about three weeks ago and choose the theme of Comic Book Anti Heroes. I love reading comic books and love the style of art used in them and as the first Avengers film is coming out in the cinema later in the year I thought it would be a good starting point to make some interesting surface designs for A/W 2012.

First of all I thought it would be a good idea to start by choosing twon or 'anti heroes' to look at and research, so I made a mind map.

After some research I chose not to look at the 'anti heroes' themselves but at the things that are associated with them, things like guns, bullets and other weaponry.

"Paperchase Project"

The Paperchase project was the first project for second year. The brief was to procedure a collection of cards and gift wrap and the theme was places you had visited over the summer that had inspired you.

I had been to London over the summer and had visited the main Cyberdog shop in Camden, a shop I love and so my projects theme became cyber, space and clothes/accessories from alternarive fashion.

Dolce & Gabbana

Dolce &Gabbana are one of the designers I looked at to help inspire me in my research for my Final Major Project. I continue to be inspired by the use of texture and embellishment in some of the garments in the A/W 2012 collection as I was by their S/S 2012 collection for one of my other projects. The use of lots of heavy texture and embellishment is still elegant and feminie which is the look I am looking to achieve in my FMP.
